Bring the pre-historic dinosaur age back to life with Fisher-Price Imaginext Spike the Ultra Dinosaur. My 5 year old son is a big dinosaur fan and I could think of no better gift for his birthday last month. Spike the Ultra Dinosaur was the center of attraction at his birthday party!

Kids have an immediate liking for Spike because of his perky personality. His blinking eyes, lit up spikes, roars and snores are a major attraction for kids. And most of all, they jump with excitement when they see him do all the dinosaur antics.

Fisher-Price Imaginext Spike the Ultra Dinosaur is remote controlled. This green skinned little dino is 27 inches tall, has a yellow underbelly, gnarly teeth and many spikes down his back that light up when he is switched on. This Brontosaurus styled dinosaur operated with a wireless remote control which has large illustrated buttons, which makes it easy for kids to understand and use them.

Your kid can make Spike walk forward, turn left, right, stand on his hind legs, throw boulders and even make his neck rotate. You can also add sound effects to make it more fun while playing! Setting up Spike is simple. The instruction booklet offers a nice illustration. The pieces are color coded to avoid confusion. You just have to securely fix Spike’s legs and tail to his body, and he is all set for playtime! Just make sure his legs are fixed properly or else he will struggle to walk.

You would also want to fully charge the rechargeable NiMH batteries, which would take up to 4 hours so that your kids can have a fun time with Spike without any interruptions. The remote control requires 3 AA batteries which are not included in the pack.

My twins have a new game of their own with each of their buddies. They make their dinosaur clash with each other, make them climb high huddles and bang them against the furniture. But Spike does not give into all these difficulties and continued doing all his dinosaur things. Spike has undoubtedly become a new addition to our family. His big size makes him a perfect outdoor companion. Just make sure to warn your kids not to put him in water. Since he is battery operated, contact with water could create an electric shock.

Once Spike is switched on, the spikes down his neck and back light up and he starts blinking his eyes. It could be a little tricky to maneuver Spike in the beginning, but with practice, it gets a lot easier. These sound effects add more fun while playing. It’s like bringing Spike the Ultra Dinosaur to life.

It’s a fun cool toy for $129.88. Your kids will love it for sure!

Who says business cards are just for professionals? This is most certainly not true because fresh graduates should have their own business cards ready so that they are better prepared to tackle the professional realm. Take it from me because having my own set of business cards when I graduated from college certainly helped build a well-grounded professional image when I started looking for a job. Having a business card creates a stigma – a professional stigma that exudes esteemed capabilities and preparation. And with the many business cards you prepare for yourself, you should also consider getting a Business Card Holders.

Business Card Holder make great gifts for the budding graduate. How does this function? It’s actually pretty simple because the typical Business Card Holder just holds all of your business cards in place. You might think that you really do not need this because you have your wallet to keep your business cards in, right? Yes, this may be the case but just imagine this scenario for a moment. You have so many business cards in your wallet that they make your wallet look thick and cramped. Moreover, when you take one card from your wallet, it just might become a little troublesome taking out just one card from that whole tight-clad pile of business cards. The result? Your cards just might go flying out of your wallet’s flap. Major embarrassment, especially if you are trying to hand out your business card to a potential client or even your potential employer. To be on the safe side, just use a business card holder to keep all your cards stacked properly.

So, where should you buy a business card holder? There are several novelty shops that sell these handy gadgets. You can even go online and place your order there! Do not worry about what design to get because there will definitely be a lot of designs and styles to choose from. Typical designs include metal plated ones clad in silver and gold. But if you think that these are all too fancy for comfort, then you can choose something simpler. Go for the colored ones, and be sure to choose a color that exudes professionalism. After all, your business card acts as your signature in the professional realm – a powerful weapon to have in your arsenal. By having a professionally-designed business card and an esteemed holder to complete the getup, landing that dream job of yours is no longer a difficult feat to achieve!

Christmas Trees bring back a lot of memories when I see them for sale or with decorations. The Christmas tree is one of the most recognizable signs of the holiday season. Buyers of these most sought after decorations basically have one issue to think about: Should I get a real evergreen or an artificial Christmas tree? Hopefully, a little thought and some browsing around on the Internet will help you decide.

The first consideration you want to make is your own personal tastes. If you are a stickler for tradition then there are chances you will be drawn to the traditional live Christmas tree. There are many beautiful varieties offered during the holiday season and you are now able to order a real evergreen tree online.

The real Christmas tree decoration is perfect for the traditionalist and it is also a good thing to think about if you live in a small appartment. If your house has only a cramped attic and your basement is overflowing with belongings, then a live Christmas tree is a ideal choice. You don’t have to worry about stocking it away after the season.

The smell that the live Christmastree brings into the home is superb and there are some who really make a strong connection between this scent and Christmas time. For a number of persons, there is no other choice than a real live evergreen for their Christmas decorating needs.

Are you looking for some Christmas party ideas on a shoestring budget? Having a Christmas party is one of the best ways to spend time with family and friends this time of year. However, that doesn’t mean that you have to wreck your budget. There are many different ways that you can celebrate so that you can ring in the New Year without worrying about going into debt. These Christmas party ideas will help you plan your event while sticking to your budget.

The first thing you should do is plan your guest list. If you are inviting a lot of family and friends, then you should ask for RSVPs, so that you won’t waste money buying food and drinks for anyone who isn’t planning on attending. Send your invitations at least two weeks in advance, so that you will know how many people that you need to prepare for.

One of the best Christmas party ideas is to send email invitations to everyone who has internet access on your list, saving traditional invitations for anyone who can’t be contacted via email. If you don’t hear back from your email guests, then just give them a short call to see if they are planning on attending, or not.

A Christmas party is one of the places where you will expect great food, but when you are trying to be frugal you can try something different than a traditional meal, especially if you have a lot of people coming over. One of the traditional Christmas party ideas is to have a potluck, where each member of the group brings a different dish to pass.

If you want to prepare all of the food yourself, then there are other ways to stick within a budget. If you are planning your party for a weekend, then you can always serve lunch, where you can serve finger foods and drinks for much less than you could a dinner. finger sandwiches with cut up vegetables and dip and perhaps a cheese tray and assorted cookies are all excellent choices for a lunch party.

Other Christmas party ideas focus around a healthier choices such as fruits and fresh veggies for a nice change of pace from fattening party foods. While you may be tempted to buy fruit and veggie trays from your deli, you will save a lot money by doing it yourself.

If you are having a low-key family Christmas party, then you can be extremely creative with the entertainment for the party. For kids, one of the best Christmas party ideas is to set up a small crafts table, where the little kids can make something to take home.

You can stock the table with clay, crayons, white paper and the basics such as construction paper, child safe scissors and glue. You can also add some seasonal supplies, such as glitter, but you might want to stay away from paints unless you want to spend a little time cleaning the mess. If you have a crafty family, then the adults may end up having just as much fun as the little ones!

If you have the option of exchanging presents, but want to keep the costs down, then you may want to draw names or set a cap on the costs of a gift. Gift giving Christmas party ideas such as drawing names are the number one way to keep costs down.

One of the great marketing strategies that businesses have come up to ensure that their products are saleable or their employees are giving out satisfying services to their customers is to hire a mystery shopper. For instance, a department store selling clothes would like to know if their employees are giving out customer satisfaction. So, they hire a mystery shopper to go inside their store and buy some clothes and other apparels. And all the mystery shopper has to do is to report back to the employer what has transpired while going shopping. Then, after that, the mystery shopper will get reimbursed for the things he or she bought and will even receive money. A mystery shopper claims that he was paid around $100 after he bought some clothes in a department store. Would you like to learn how to be a secret shopper? Do you think that this is a good money-making opportunity?

by Edie Mindell

You have selected your toddler’s first bike. It is a sweet sassy little number complete with racing stripes and a bell. It is only 18 inches off of the ground. After the frenzied research and purchase is complete don’t be tempted to think your job is done. Dreams of Christmas morning watching your child run to the toddler bike are incomplete unless your toddler is properly equipped with a helmet and other safety gear.

Why does a toddler need a helmet?

Many parents when shopping for a toddler bike forget about the helmet. The bike is only knee-high and the likelihood of serious injury may seem quite remote. Don’t be one of the parents whose Christmas efforts and dreams are rewarded by a broken baby. It is very easy to see the reasoning that a tiny bike might only cause a small bump or bruise, and let’s be honest, for many this is the case. The news headlines on Boxing Day are not topped with mangled and helmetless riders of toddler bikes. Yet there is an element of protection a helmet provides that will insure your child’s safety.

Does a Toddler need the padding?

Toddlers have plenty of natural padding in the form of chub, but they may need a few extra layers to prevent bumps and bruises as they hit the road on their new tricycle. It seems kids these days are buckled, padded and helmeted until they can hardly see or breathe. These safety items really make a difference.

Even the most vigilant parent cannot prevent every fall, nor do they want to. It is necessary to risk a good tumble to learn how to ride a bike, even if it is a tricycle. Toddlers want to learn how to do everything by themselves. Why not give them the padding to make any falls less scary for both parent and child.

Think of it this way: your timid, yet eager child perches atop his bike ready to ride when splat! He falls off skinning his elbows or scraping his knee. This is not a serious life threatening injury, but how long and how much talking will it take to convince your child that this fancy tricycle is fun and not a toddler torture device?

Teach them young

Perhaps the more compelling reason is that of precedent. This is a toddler bike, but it is your baby’s first bike. Setting the expectation of wearing a helmet and other padding protection for knees and elbows now will establish good habits. Then when your toddler somehow becomes a daredevil 8-year old rocketing up and down the street he is doing so while happily wearing the appropriate safety gear.

The first toddler bike is a big deal. Enjoy your child’s Christmas present along with them and have the shiny new helmet and elbow pads with red racing stripes to complete the holiday Kodak moment. Have a safe and merry Christmas!

If you’re considering a Tempurpedic bed for your next mattress purchase, keep reading for a helpful overview of their product range, including different sleep system features, accessories, price points and where you can purchase their products.

The Science Behind TEMPUR

Rather than being an air mattress, the “technology” behind Tempurpedic beds is the TEMPUR material used to create the mattresses’ upper layers. The material actually absorbs body weight and pressure, meaning the mattress will conform to your shape and short of cradle you once you lay down.

Allergen Resistant

Every Tempurpedic mattress is sprayed with an anti-allergen treatment designed to prevent dust, mold and mites from infesting or getting inside the mattress. The covers are also removable and washable, allowing you to clean them regularly. And none of the manufacturer’s mattresses contains any formaldehyde or toxic CFC.

Pillows and Accessories

You don’t have to own a complete Tempurpedic bed sleep system to enjoy its helpful TEMPUR material experience. The company also sells pillows, office lumbar cushions and bed accessories like linens and mattress covers.

The company’s office product lines include lumbar pillows, task chair covers and ergonomically designed seat cushions all designed with the intent of taking pressure points off your back and provide a more comfortable work environment.

Tempurpedic’s pillow products include a range of basic sizes, body pillows and neck pillows. The TEMPUR material and inherent design are made to conform to the contours of your neck, which helps to eliminate a stiff neck and consequently provide a more comfortable night’s sleep.

Pricing and Costs

A Tempurpedic is not an inexpensive mattress. Starting at $700 for a basic, twin-sized Original Bed sleep system and going up to almost $6700 for a king-sized Grand Bed, the luxury model, Tempurpedic Beds can be much more expensive than many will be able to afford. However, many sleepers wrestling with uncomfortable mattresses and sore backs would likely argue that the extra expense is well worth it. So there’s definitely a trade-off.

Financing is also available, direct from the Tempurpedic website (tempurpedic.com) or often through retailers like Sears, Macy’s or Bloomingdale’s. Deals can also be found online, but consumers should be aware of counterfeit models.

Tempurpedic’s Warranty

All Tempurpedic beds come with a 20-year warranty. This warranty covers any defaults or defects in the manufacturing of the bed or problems that have arisen as a direct result of faulty workmanship.

The warranty does not cover normal wear and tear or the “normal increase in softness of the TEMPUR material,” which is a natural occurrence and doesn’t actually affect the performance of the material.

In addition, any mattresses that are replaced after 11 years will be charged a prorated replacement rate of 50 percent of your original purchase cost. However, despite their warranty restrictions, Tempurpedic Beds rarely need to be replaced. The company has a phenomenally high level of long-term customer satisfaction.

Have you ever photographed what you thought was Holiday Gold only to discover a lump of coal after viewing it on your PC? A wise sage once defined INSANITY as Doing the same things you’ve always done, but EXPECTING DIFFERENT OUTCOMES.

Generally speaking, photographers disappointed with old holiday pictures, wanted to take better ones, but didn’t know how. By using these eight simple tips, you can leave this “Insanity” behind…

I. Avoiding Panic

Decide before the event, your preference for WHICH photography poses to use. Significant considerations are: who will be there, what is the environment, group combinations, and the lighting requirements (day or night).

II. Explosions Are Only Good On July 4th

Face the facts… sometimes family members don’t get along (yeah right… “sometimes”). Keep this in mind when taking family photography poses.

It is also OK to take smaller group pictures that are “safe,” than a larger group picture which may ignite. Often just having some distance between potential combatants works well, but that needs to be accounted for when deciding which family photography poses to use.

III. Take Gobs of Picture

Take more than one image of EACH POSE. Regardless of what you say or do, people will blink. Although you can completely eliminate blinking in photos, too many photographers mistakenly rely on spotting problems by viewing the camera’s tiny LCD screen; which leads to…

IV. When to Check The LCD Screen

The digital camera’s LCD screen can solve or cause problems. The LCD screen should only be used to review general framing of the picture, verify that all faces can be seen, and check the histogram. DO NOT USE THE LCD SCREEN to determine picture sharpness/out of focus, high/low contrast areas, or whether any blinking occurred (click the above link for more info on eliminating blinking).

V. The Power Of Humor

Remember what this group finds funny. It could be anecdotes, phrases, names, and family foibles that are humorously appropriate for your group. Then use it JUST BEFORE YOU TAKE THE PHOTO. It’s a fact that a natural grin looks three times better than “fake-photo-face.”

VI. The Big Bang

Each flash has a “flash range,” which defines the range of proper illumination your flash produces. Check your owner’s manual for how far away from your subjects you can be while still properly illuminating them.

VII. [spin]Plan “B”

If you need to be further away from your subjects than your flash allows, there are four things you can do (not counting “crying”):

Move to a brighter location

Use a tripod with a longer exposure times

Purchase an external flash unit

Increase the ISO

.

VIII. What’s The Best Angle?

When using a flash, avoid shooting directly into mirrors or reflective surfaces. If an alternate location is impractical, take the image in such a way that the flash is NOT PERPENDICULAR to the surface, but is at an angle (so the flash won’t be seen in the picture).

Don’t be surprised if your holiday pictures suddenly become sought after to make enlargements. When this happens, see how to both save money and insure that people don’t get “chopped off” when cropping is required.

Today’s holiday celebrations are connected to ancient ways by the season and by the beauty and symbology of the evergreen tree. Celts, Romans, early Christians, and civilizations around the world lived close to nature and the outdoors. They worshipped within groves of ancient trees. Early pagans would honor the largest tree by placing presents beneath it, and many cultures tied Christmas lights to tree branches as symbols of prayers or thanks.

Trees and other plants that stayed green the year round were considered to have power. The evergreen tree symbolized power over darkness and death, and represented the never-ending cycle of the natural world. Life continues its cycle even in the coldest and darkest of days of the year.

Wreaths are an ancient symbol of victory. In the case of the holiday wreath, this can be imagined as victory over darkness, winter, or death. The circular shape represents eternal rebirth, while evergreens symbolize eternal life. Laurel has been used since the Roman Empire as a symbol for victory; cedar suggests strength and healing; and holly, pine and yew represent immortality.

Even cultures that celebrated outdoors began bringing evergreens indoors as reminders that the sun would return. Some of the other natural items used to Christmas lights wreaths also had ancient significance. For example, Holly is also an evergreen tree, which in Celtic times was recognized as growing hidden among the oaks for much of the year, but asserting itself over its brother the Oak. As winter approached the Oak lost its leaves and, symbolically, its power.

The Romans celebrated Saturnalia, and the holly tree was considered sacred to Saturn. In spite of protests from the Christian church, many Christians adopted both holly and other evergreens into their Christmas celebrations. Holly’s prickly leaves have come to symbolize Jesus’ crown of thorns, and the red berries represent drops of his bloodshed to save mankind.

On the other hand, Druids believed that holly warded off witches and lightning, and many brought holly into their homes during the winter months to provide shelter for fairies during the storms.

As we weave our Christmas ornaments and wreaths, we can remember these ancient stories of faith and hope, and weave some of these images into our decorations as well. But the holiday season is a time of generosity and festivity whether you believe these ancient stories or not. No knowledge or belief is necessary to appreciate a wreath’s beauty and welcoming spirit.
